• The Belle Vernon Area School District is accepting applications for the position of Director of Student Services.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    PDE certification: Supervisory of Special Education or Superintendent Letter of Eligibility

    Position Responsibilities:
    1. Provide leadership and direction to ensure high quality programming with all aspects of Special Education, Gifted Education and 504 services.
        a. Ensure compliance with all regulations related to Chapters 14, 15 and 16.
        b. Supervise, monitor and certify the accuracy of the ACCESS program and billing.
        c. Serves as district LEA.
    2. Provides leadership, direction and coordination for all federal programs.
        a. Author applications, write reports, ensure compliance, supervise implementation and reconcile funding.
        b. Serves as Project Director and ensures compliance with Title 1 programming.
    3. Monitor and analyze professional staffing and scheduling to ensure high quality academic programming and          efficiency.
    4. Responsible for the prudent use and financial accountability of funding associated with all grants, ACCESS,
         IDEA, Federal Programs, and other funding under purview.
    5. Works cooperatively and assists/supports other administrators with the evaluation, direction and
        supervision of professional and support staff associated with Special Education and Federal Programs.
    6. Coordinates all aspects of RTII, SAP, PBIS, AEDY, Homeschooling, Homebound, Nursing, School Counselors,
        Residential Facilities, Restraint Reporting, Incarcerated Youth Program, Bullying, etc.
    7. Coordinates all out of district placements of regular and special education students including
        transportation.
    8. District Homeless Liaison.
    9. Provides leadership, direction and supervision of the School Psychologists.
        a. Evaluates all school psychologists.
        b. Serves as direct report and ensures evaluation/testing compliance.
    10. Perform all other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor.
