Swim Meets
High School Swimmers compete in the following events:
- 50 Freestyle
- 100 Freestyle
- 200 Freestyle
- 500 Freestyle
- 100 Butterfly
- 100 Backstroke
- 100 Breaststroke
- 200 Individual Medley
- 200 Medley Relay
- 200 Freestyle Relay
- 400 Freestyle Relay
During meets, each event occurs one after another. The girls swim the event first, then the boys swim. Before the 100 Butterfly, there is a 7-minute break for the timers and officials to get a breather and to provide the swimmers a chance to re-warm up.
Swimmers are bussed to and from away competition. Meets normally take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and usually take roughly 2 hours.
